Life Club - Biskuit Kopi

Hello everyone, been a few days right. I was a bit sleepy half an hour ago but then I remembered that I hadn't done my salah so I decided to do it fearing I would fall asleep.
However, my drowsiness disappeared after it was done. Needless to say that devils truly persuade us into not doing our good deeds by making us lazy or sleepy or bored. Many other things. I have been there I have done that, and most of the time I failed. Very humane.

Let's talk about something else. Hmm where should I begin. Things at work have been so-so. Nothing special has happened in the past two weeks. To be frank, the staff room is not that comfy any longer. It feels a bit blunt. Complicated to go further about it. Since my coming back, I have already sensed the presence of walls among us teachers. There is no more chit chat about random unimportant incidents. What appears is more like you take care of what's around you and never get into my territory. People gossip about other people. People talk bad about others. People feel they are very capable of things that they feel they deserve better in return. If they are better then they may ask for better stuff, or at least be mindful of others. Have a sense of empathy won't they?! Arrgh, I don't wanna care. I dont work to make friends, I work to earn money and a living for my baby.

Had a life club class today, it was fun. I had eight little children aged 4-6 years old. We managed to make our mini finger puppets, it was pretty easy for them. As always I did most of the cutting and the kids were able to colour everything pretty properly. And there's this boy named Aqila. He is hilarious. He sang all the way through out the class, he said random English words to me pretending as if I understood him. And he was having fun, I could really see that. I can tell he has improved in terms of everything! He is so confident, he enjoys doing many different activities, and he completes tasks properly. Around three or four months ago, being a new kid in class he would cry whenever his mother was about to leave the class. Well i am happy now he has turned into a totally different student.

that's aqila giggling with his eyes closed (top left-standing)

A minute before the class was over, another boy named Carlson (the one on green t-shirt) cried all of a sudden. I thought someone must have stepped on his foot or something like that. But there was no one standing around him. After trying to ask him for a few minutes he finally told me (and his nanny) that he cried because he didn't get a burger (everyone in a life club class usually gets to bring a snack home). Very funny indeed. It was only a matter of a burger. Kids oh kids. They are so spontaneous and honest. My maternal instinct has truly changed the way I feel about little kids even though I have only delivered one :p
Have no more to write, i am still here eating my favourite coffee biscuits, coffeejoy. thank goodness it's saturday tomorrow. i can wake up late, i don't need to worry about leaving kei, and i dont have to hate the water puddles in the streets for making my feet and toes dirty during rain. Oh my these biscuits are so yummy :D

FEELING EXHAUSTED AND WORN OUT

Hi dear readers... how is everyone doing?
It is Thursday, and it's been a pretty tiring day. Unlike the usual, I have finally finished doing four classes today. Four classes of mixed ability kids? hell yeah, that is something and what is more is that all of them were kids' classes ranging from 4 year olds. Tired? Yes, to be honest but i feel better now because the day is done at work and because I am about to start the weekend tomorrow.

Oh yeah forgot to tell you that I asked my second class to make a paper craft, an easy one for sure. the craft was something related to numbers. I came up with a template of a caterpillar which was in cut out pieces,  therefore my students needed to color the template of the big circles that could be formed like a caterpillar with numbers on it.
It was pretty good i would say since everybody in class enjoyed the lesson, and i did too :D However I did most of the cutting hahhaaa...

a bunch of sweet kids :D

JIKA HARUS TERPAKSA SUSU FORMULA / SUFOR

Halo lagi semuanya, belum sempet update blog yah beberapa bulan ini. Saya juga kayaknya belum sempet cerita nih kalo tanggal 5 September lalu saya mulai kerja lagi, kembali mengajar di EF. Kenapa balik?

Yah saya coba dulu..

Bukan maksud mengganti ASI dengan sufor lho, saya udah minta tolong sama mama saya, sufor hanya dikasih hanya kalo ASIPnya habis bis biss.. Toh sampe sekarang pun saya masih rajin mompa, dan Kei (Alhamdulillah yaa :-)) ga mau minum ASIP pake botol, dia suka pake sendok.

Tapi emang ASI is the best lah..

A TIRING AND HOT WEDNESDAY IN JAKARTA

Here I am, in one of my classes. The students are all busy doing their computer work and I am even busier blogging and writing about stuff that's been happening today. Not all of them are too important to be put here but it's okay I assume. So this morning I had to go to Kuningan to sign a contract between some company and myself. The agreement took less than an hour but the traffic of going there was super horrible. It almost made me swear all the way there. I almost had a fight with somebody regarding the heat and traffic.

Then I decided to go to work instead of going home directly because I realized it was already past one.

Arriving at work, I thought there was a powercut in the building. Indeed there was but at exactly the same time I entered my office the powercut came back to normal. It was like I was magical. How relieving. Remembering how hot the weather this afternoon, being able to feel the breeze of air conditioner did make my day better. Still, my hair was such a mess!

By the way I haven't eaten anything proper today. I am just not that hungry, or perhaps I am pretending not to be hungry. All those comments on my weight has been too much and strangling me, literally. I mean, I dont really think I am overweight, but how I have been criticised makes me lose more confidence day by day. How can I lose weight when others are judging me all the time?

In front of those liking to give me criticisms, I always try to look okay with it. But it's got on my nerves and it's making me sick! I am not blaming them, I am just feeling so pitiful for them for having the time to actually care about how I look. Don't they have other things to do?

Well, I need to go back to reality. Go back to class and entertain students by teaching them. How cynical I am today huh. have a great day folks

I'll keep posting, x
