Assalamualaikum (peace be with you all) my dear blog readers...
How are you today? I wish everyone is having a great day filled with blessings.
I am so excited to blog. Why? I’ll be frank. I have been given a gift from my mom, a new laptop. Yep, a new laptop. Did i just repeat myself out loud? Yep i did :] it’s not my birthday, nor it’s my daughter’s. For no reason. Perhaps because she has been paying attention to what I’ve been like for the past 3 months being at home all of the time, and that I have not been doing anything? Haha. Not sure, though.
Well maybe because my mother knows that I’ve been getting document translation jobs :] anyways, thanks mom. You are the best. Smooch smooch from me and Kei.
This idea popped out in my head at around 2:35 Tuesday morning. I couldn’t sleep then, so i thought it would be better for me to jot down the things randomly appeared in my mind.
Is everything a coincidence? I mean, when you meet a guy/woman at a bus station whom you are going to be married to in the next five years, is that a coincidence?
When you’re reading the paper and find a job vacancy that suits you most then you apply for it and get hired and then get promoted and become the company’s CEO. Is that also a coincidence?
When you drive on the street and unluckily hits a pedestrian and s/he dies. Is that a coincidence?
One day your husband is ill, so you decide to not drive the car by yourself, and take a bus to work, and then at the bus you meet a person whom you used to date at college. Then you exchange phone numbers or BBM pins and start chatting on Line or Messenger and become really good friends (not literally :p) again.
Is everything a coincidence in our life? Tough question, especially for me. I have the lack of knowledge in answering this kind of question. I am incapable to dig deep into my brain since mine is small.. a joke, size of our brain is not linked to how clever we are :]
But well, I am a monotheist. I believe in the existence of Allah the One and Only. And I also believe that the Almighty has planned and set everything that is going to happen in everyone’s lives before s/he is even born. These plans include his/her fortune, future husband/wife, and death. That is perhaps why I believe that everything happens for a reason. We may find out the reason soon after or even long after one incident occurs. I believe that when I have tried and done the best and prayed, Allah will guide me into a path that is blessed. There is a saying, what may appear good in our eyes may actually be harmful to ourselves, on the contrary, what appears bad in a human’s eyes may actually be beneficial for our own good.
Therefore, in all incidents I’ve been through in my life so far; illness, heartache, divorce, dad’s death, being unemployed, having a child, getting a laptop from my mom, etc., I see God’s hands there. I may have been depressed during the “dark” parts of the journey, but I have always been able to pass them through and the sadness and losses eventually subsided. Alhamdulillah, praise Allah the owner of the whole universe.
How about the things we see in our everyday life? Are they also coincidences?
Name, the mountains. How can they stand tall like they do eventhough the earth moves all the time?
The Sun, how could it never grow tired of giving us its wamth?
The vaporation of rain water because of the work of the Sun which is then returned by the work of clouds and wind.
How about the oxygen we breathe since we are born until the second we pass away? How come we never lack of oxygen? Living tracks on earth are concluded to have appeared around 3,8 billion year ago, although human beings are estimated to start appearing around 100,000 years ago, still there must have been oxygen since then.
And then the sky. There may be billions of stars out there, sky objects, numerous planets in the galaxy, but everything doesn’t seem to be chaotic. It all seems to be systematically arranged.
Many theories brought up by experts on the creation of the universe. One is that there was the Big Bang which happened around 15 billion years ago. According to this theory, the universe used to be one huge atomic power and was shaped more or less like an unimaginably gigantic ball. And there was the Big Bang. There was a big explotion then there were these pieces called planets, sky objects, meteors, comets, galaxies, etc. Wallahu’alam.
A quote from Surah al-Anbiya [21]: 30 further explains this.
Sahih International
Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?
Whatever it was that caused the creation of the universe, it must have been great and almighty. There could never be a coincidence there. Well, for me, i don’t think such occurence was only a coincidence.
Currently, scientists believe that in the future (nobody knows exactly when), the universe is not going to expand anymore. It will, on the contrary, shrink, and eventually become one again. They call this prediction as the Big Crunch, when there is this one HUGE blow and everything turns into one again. Perhaps, it is the Armageddon? The end of life and everything in the universe. It will end up being one black dot. Wallahu’alam (only Allah knows). Is that a coincidence?
Everything is up to you :]
Have a good day and stay happy always :]
Surah Ghafir [40] : 57
Sahih International
The creation of the heavens and earth is greater than the creation of mankind, but most of the people do not know.
